| 20-03-09 ANNUAL GROUP CONFERENCE - IMPORTANT UPDATE: Significant developments in the business of this years AGC are being notified to MAG members. 1. Election of the National Chairman of MAG(UK) After three terms in office as MAG's National Chairman, Jane Chisholm has announced that she will be stepping down at the AGC. This leaves one of the most important volunteer posts in MAG open to new candidates. 2. The National Committee has allowed a late proposal for a national campaign on policing to be brought forward. Assembly point is the ACE Café near Hanger Lane on London's North Circular Road at 3pm. Ride out departs 4.15pm for Trafalgar Square. There will then be a ride to Westminster City Hall by 6.45pm. |

| 29-09-08 Ministers urged to stop bike test rip-off MAG today called on the Department for Transport to prevent 40,000 new riders from being ripped-off by unjustified increases to test fees. In February of this year, Parliament agreed a 33% increase in the cost of a bike test to cover the costs of a new, longer test from 29 September 2008. Despite not implementing the test as planned, the cost of a motorcycle rider test has increased from £60 to £80. |
